MOTOPROOF

Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 September 2026

These Terms govern your use of MotoProof, operated by Joshua O'Shaughnessy, trading as MotoProof. By creating an account or using MotoProof, you agree to these Terms.

1. What MotoProof does

MotoProof helps motorcycle owners organise information including Garage records, maintenance and service history, costs, photographs, documents, reminders and vehicle information. Features may change as the service develops.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure and must not attempt to access another user's account, Garage or private files.

3. Motorcycle records

You are responsible for checking information you enter. MotoProof is not the definitive service, maintenance, ownership or legal history of a motorcycle. Government or third-party information may contain errors, omissions or delays outside MotoProof's control.

4. Motorcycle safety

MotoProof is an information and record-management service, not a substitute for inspection, diagnosis, servicing or repair by a suitably qualified motorcycle professional. Do not rely solely on MotoProof to determine whether a motorcycle is safe or roadworthy.

5. AI features

AI-generated information can be incomplete or incorrect and is not a guaranteed diagnosis. Suggested tests, repairs, tools and replacement parts must be checked for suitability and compatibility before use.

6. MOT and vehicle information

MotoProof may display information from government or third-party services. MotoProof does not conduct MOT tests and cannot certify that a motorcycle is roadworthy.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload and give MotoProof permission to process and store it as reasonably necessary to provide the service.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use MotoProof unlawfully, interfere with its security or operation, gain unauthorised access, distribute malicious code, deliberately circumvent service limits, impersonate others or infringe another person's rights.

9. Paid services

MotoProof may offer optional paid features or subscriptions. Pricing and billing information will be shown before purchase. App-store terms may also apply. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

11. Intellectual property

MotoProof's software, branding, design and original content are owned by or licensed to MotoProof. Your rights in content you upload remain yours.

12. Third-party services

MotoProof relies on third-party technology and may integrate external services which have their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful or affects statutory rights you have as a consumer under UK law.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using MotoProof and delete your account at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary because of serious or repeated breaches, unlawful activity, security threats or misuse.

15. Privacy

See the MotoProof Privacy Policy.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms as MotoProof develops and will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate notice of material changes.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
