Information we process
We may process account details such as your email address; motorcycle and Garage information you provide; service, maintenance and running-cost records; photographs, receipts and documents you upload; and technical information needed to operate, secure and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure your account, store and display your motorcycle records, provide requested features, communicate important service information, diagnose technical problems and improve MotoProof.
Legal bases
Where UK data-protection law applies, processing may be necessary to provide the service you request, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving MotoProof. Where consent is required, we will request it.
Service providers
MotoProof uses third-party technology providers to operate features such as authentication, data storage, email delivery and hosting. These providers process information only as required to provide their services and are subject to their own legal and security obligations.
Your uploads
You retain ownership of photographs and documents you upload. Avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive personal information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload content.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide MotoProof and meet legal, security and operational requirements. You can request deletion or use the in-app Delete Account feature. See our account deletion page.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
MotoProof is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children who are not legally able to consent to the relevant processing.
